Marie Christine Stohlmann (Rahn)
Born December 14, 1923 in Rural Papillion, Nebraska to Henry & Marie (Marth) Rahn. She was Baptized and Confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Papillion.
She attended Elementary School at Prairie Queen District #33 & graduated Papillion High School in 1941. Marie attended Van Sant School of Business graduating in May 1942. After business school she worked for Swift & Company and also for Marth Title & Abstract.
Marie married Leonard Stohlmann of Manley, Nebraska on February 15, 1948 at the First Lutheran Church in Papillion, Nebraska. She became a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Rural Louisville and was a member until her death.
Marie quickly found out what it meant to be a farm wife. She worked side by side with Leonard their entire 62 years of marriage. Of this Union were born 5 children & blessed with 13 grandchildren.
Her days were full with gardening, tending her many flower beds and taking care of numerous animals over the years. She was especially fond of her peacocks & oriental pheasants. Marie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and baking her daily batch of homemade cookies. Also by entertaining them on her player piano. Marie & Leonard enjoyed trips to Alaska & Australia & the Orient.

Son- Leonard Jr. Stohlmann of Manley (Wife Jean) Children - Sarah, Emily & Christine
Daughter- Marlene Gruber of Manley (Husband Rick) Children -Sheri (Fiancé Shane) & Nick
Son- Doyle Stohlmann of Murdock (Wife Monica) Children - Lauren, Daniel & Erin
Son -Stan Stohlmann of Louisville (Wife Amy) Children - Luke & Ryan
Nieces - Polly (LaVerne) Vrbka, Karen (Robert) Olson and Dottie Bleick
Sister In-Law - Dorothy Foster (Husband Estle) of Clarinda, IA
Marie passed away at the Louisville Care Center at the age of 87 Years 5 Months 14 Days.
Funeral Services 10:30 AM Tuesday June 1, 2010 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Louisville, NE with burial at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation 1-9 PM Monday May 31, 2010 with family greeting friends 6-8 PM all at the Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to www.fusselmanwymore.com.
