Mark L. Levenhagen, 45 of Syracuse, passed away on November 11, 2016 at his home. He was born on October 26, 1971 to Rev. Donald & Dorothy (Adkins) Levenhagen in Fremont, NE.

Mark graduated in 1990 from Fremont high school. He married Kelly Farmer on January 1, 2000, they later divorced. Together they had three children; August, Liz and Leah. He worked for Smeals in Snyder, NE, Ameritas in Lincoln and was employed with the U.S. Postal Service in Lincoln since 2004. He was involved with the Syracuse Snoflakers, was a member of Syracuse Country Club and was planning on becoming a member of First Lutheran Church (North Branch). He also helped coach August's basketball teams for many years. Mark was engaged to Krista Sisco.

Mark is survived by his children: August, Liz & Leah Levenhagen; Fiancé: Krista Sisco and her children Kadyn & Tristan all of Syracuse; Parents: Rev. Donald & Dorothy Levenhagen of Fremont; Brother: Don Levenhagen of Indianapolis, IN; Sisters: Becky Dabkowski of Plainfield, IN, Beth (Scott) Doht of Lyons, NE, Kris (Greg) Kavan of North Bend; Brother: Tim (Tara) Levenhagen of Elkhorn; 15 nieces & nephews; 7 great nieces & nephews; also many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents; nephews: Jeremy Hobson, Matthew Doht, Jacob Levenhagen; Niece: Lakynn Rief.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Lutheran Church (North Branch) located at 1434 N 30th Rd. Avoca, NE. Burial will be at First Lutheran Cemetery (North Branch).

Memorials may be directed to the family to establish an education fund for his children.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 15 from 9 A.M. until 5 P.M. then private family time from 5-6 P.M. The family will greet friends from 6-8 P.M. with visitation ending at 9 P.M. all at the funeral home.
