Diltz

Marlee Joan (Mather) Diltz, age 77, was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on Thursday, March 15, 2018.
Marlee was born on September 1, 1940 to Vernal and Alice (Jaeger) Mather in a shack along the river in Plattsmouth, Nebraska but grew up in nearby Weeping Water. She enjoyed playing with her dolls, playing tenor saxophone, and chasing boys with her cousin, Helen. Marlee married Earl Keith Diltz on November 15, 1957 in Nebraska City. Marlee dedicated her life to loving and caring for her eight children. She retired from Parker Hannifen after 30 years.
Marlee came to know Jesus as her personal savior in May 2010. She was so excited to participate in her first communion that she brought home her communion cup and kept it on her windowsill.
Marlee was really proud to purchase her own home. She spent her time watching cowboy movies, Nascar, the Huskers, and the Minnesota Vikings. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family.
During the last six months of Marlee's life, she was taken care of by her children. One of her eight children was with her every day and every night. The time spent with her created lots of family bonds, laughs, and lasting memories that will be cherished forever.
Marlee is survived by her 8 children: Doug (Melissa) Diltz, Annette (Dan) Manley, Paulette Hanson, Vickie (Chuck) Switzer, Keith (Janet) Diltz, Jodie Nash, Vern Diltz, and Robin (Robert Holmes) Heneger; her 5 siblings: Karen (Leo) Oak, Terry Mather, Rod (Helen) Mather, Mike (Pam) Mather, and Beverly (Dale) Krier; as well as her 38 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren.
Marlee was preceded in death by her father Vernal Mather, stepmother Leona Mather, her mother Alice Mason, her brothers Wayne and Hap Mather, son-in-law Mike Nash, and grandchildren Mandy Diltz and Andy Nash.
Celebration of Marlee's life will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Faith Missionary Church in Weeping Water, Nebraska at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will be held at the Legion Hall in downtown Weeping Water immediately following the service. Burial will be held at a later date.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Faith Missionary Church in Weeping Water Nebraska from 1:00 until 8:00 P.M. family will greet friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
Memorials can be given at Faith Missionary Church.
