Obituary

Marlin L. Reissig was born on November 15, 1935 in Ellsworth County, Kansas to Theodore and Marie (Engdahl) Reissig. He passed away on Monday, July 28, 2008 at his home surrounded by family at the age of 72 years.

He was united in marriage to Nancy L. Brown on September 5, 1959 in Immanuel Chapel in Omaha, Nebraska, together they raised two children, Scott and Elizabeth. Marlin held a bachelors degree from Bethany College and a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He was the executive director for the Blue Valley Mental Health Center for many years.
His community involvement included being President of the Cass County Fair Board for 18 years, member of the Community Boosters of Weeping Water, the Weeping Water Lions Club, Current President of the Christ Lutheran Church Council. Outside of these groups, Marlin was involved with the Lofte Theatre, the University of Nebraska Alumni Association, he was an avid golfer, and a huge Nebraska Football and Basketball fan.

VISITATION: Friday, August 1st from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. The casket will not be present at the church
