Marlyce M. McFarland, 82, of Lincoln, passed away on April 11, 2026, at the Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital. She was born on October 24, 1943, to Albert & Lerma (Halm) Doeden in Lincoln. Marlyce graduated from Walton High School in the class of 1962. On June 8, 1962, she was united in marriage to Dennis McFarland at St. John’s UCC in Syracuse.

Marlyce was a devoted homemaker who found her greatest joy in caring for her family. She loved cooking meals for those she cherished and made sure her grandchildren never left without something special. She enjoyed bowling and taking road trips with Dennis to check out different restaurants in the area.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis McFarland; children, Mark (Rhonda) McFarland, Carrie (Rodney) Brown, Denise (Todd) Kent, Cassie McFarland and fiancé Jeremy Walburn; grandchildren, Hayley (Omar) Selim, Elizabeth (Jordan) Encalade, Nicolas Kent, Leona Marie Brown, Austin McFarland, Caden Charroin, Colby Charroin; great-grandchildren, Pearl, Leonardo, Margaret, Heidi; brother, Albert (Roberta) Doeden; nephews, Mike Doeden and Rick Doeden; step-grandchildren Shelby, Taylor, Lucas, Tanner; along with many extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Richard, LaVern, Nicolaus, Kenny, Carl, LaDonna, and Delbert.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 17 at 1:00 p.m. at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Syracuse. The service will be livestreamed on the St. John’s UCC Facebook page. Interment will follow at the Park Hill Cemetery in Syracuse.

Memorials are suggested to Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital.
