Martin E. "Grizz" Pilgrim was born on May 24, 1950 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Paul and Lois (Bowers) Pilgrim. He passed away on Friday, May 15, 2009 at his home in Plattsmouth, Nebraska at the age of 58 years, 11 months and 21 days.

Martin grew up in Anchorage, Alaska and graduated from High School there. He met and was united in marriage to Brenda Spivey on May 30, 1975 in Anchorage. They moved to Nebraska in 1978 and have lived here since. He worked fro Malnove in Millard as a Factory Worker for many years. Martin was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed playing the penny slot machines and most importantly spending time with his grandsons.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Pilgrim, 2 sons, Robert & Bobbie Pilgrim, Jonathan Pilgrim, grandsons, Tyson & Dallas Pilgrim, father Paul Pilgrim all of Plattsmouth, brother, Larry & Sharry Pilgrim, Papillion, nephews, Gary Pilgrim, Kansas City, Randy Pilgrim, Gretna.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Pilgrim

Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plattsmouth, Nebraska.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18th from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to the National Ataxia Foundation.
