Marvin "Marv" Dorn
Marvin John Dorn was born on June 9, 1936 to George and Hilda (Riensche) Dorn in Filley, Nebraska. He died on Friday, May 30, 2008 at the University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 71 years, 11 months, and 21 days.
Marv married Audre Woltemath in Sebetha, Kansas. To this union, they shared children James Dorn, David Dorn, Kevin Dorn, Brian Dorn, Brad Dorn, Lynn Woltemath, Donna Woltemath. Marv was a member of the Nebraska National Guard. Marv was a milk truck driver for United Transport. He had many interests like birds – especially Purple Martins, and auctions, or as some people said…junk piles! He was a handyman, especially dry walling. John Deere Tractors were one thing he loved in his life. Friends and Family were definitely the love of his life.
Survivors include his wife Audre, of Tecumseh, James and wife Andi Dorn, of Scottsbluff, David and wife Sue, of Cortland, Kevin and wife Patty, of Sioux City IA, Brian and wife Sara, of Lincoln, Brad and wife Jackie Woltemath, New Castle, WY, Lynn and wife Becky Woltemath, Cook, Donna Woltemath, and friend Jon Fisher of Lincoln, NE, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. Marv is also survived by 3 sisters, Norma and husband Gene Foreman, of Lincoln, Leona Trauernicht of Pickrell, NE, Evelena Kelle of Beatrice, and brother Arden and wife Roxanne Dorn, of San Antonio TX, mother-in-law Edna Goers, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers LaVern and Rolland
Marv's Funeral Services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ (Osage), in Cook, Nebraska.
Visitation will be Monday from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M., with the family greeting friends from 6 until 8 all at the funeral home.
The Casket will be closed at the Church.
