Obituary

Marvin Guy Kimbell was born on January 15, 1920 in Elmwood, Nebraska to Guy and Lillian (Kunz) Kimbell. He passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2007 at the Good Samaritan Center in Syracuse, Nebraska at the age of 87 years.

He was united in marriage on June 6, 1948 to Verneda Hagerman at the First Lutheran Church 'North Branch' in rural Avoca. Together they farmed in and around the Unadilla area and raised four children, Norene, Keith, Curtis and Craig.

He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Syracuse, the Massie Richards Post #100 American Legion in Syracuse and the Unadilla Elevator Board.

Marvin is survived by his Wife: Verneda Kimbell of Unadilla, NE; Daughter: Norene Steele and husband Fred of Lincoln, NE; Sons: Keith Kimbell and wife Sandi of Unadilla, NE; Curtis Kimbell and wife Karen of Palmyra, NE; Craig Kimbell and wife Chris of Unadilla, NE; Sisters: Marie Stubbendeck of Unadilla, NE, Opal Sylvester of Lincoln, NE; 7 Grandchildren: Stephanie Kuhn and husband Bill; Nicole Steele and special friend Sean Fintel, Adair Kimbell, Andrew Kimbell, Mitchell Kimbell, Hannah Kimbell, Nathan Kimbell; 3 Great Grandchildren, Darian Ogden, Nathan & Makayla Kuhn; 3 Step Grandchildren: Scott Remmington and wife Rachelle; Nick Petersen and wife Justina; Dustin Petersen, 3 Step Great Grandchildren: Demri, Sydni & Caden Petersen, Sam Remmington. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in Death by his Parents, Sister: Lenore Beavers

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 9, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John's United Church of Christ in Syracuse, Nebraska with Rev. John Finster officiating.

Interment will be in the Park Hill Cemetery in Syracuse.

Memorials are suggested to the St. John's United Church of Christ or Massie Richards Post #100 American Legion both in Syracuse.
