Mary Lou Dunn was born December 7, 1930, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Emmett and Mary (Benak) Hurley. She passed away at the Louisville Care Center, in Louisville, Nebraska at the age of 78 years, 6 month, and 26 days.

Mary Lou married Vernon Dunn, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, in Omaha, Nebraska, on November 28, 1953, and to the this union they raised 4 children, Bob, Tim, Mary Beth, and Joe. She worked as a Registered Nurse for more that 30 years at the Louisville Care Center. Her other interest was Quilting. She was a member of the Lincoln Quilters Guild, and won numerous awards. She assisted in the development of the International Quilt Center located on the East Campue of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.

Mary Lou is survived by her children & spouses, Bob & Marlene Dunn, of Carpenter, WY, Tim Dunn, of rural Ashland, NE, Mary Beth & Marlan Johnson of Eagle, NE, and Joe & Sandi Dunn, of Midland, MI, 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and friends.

Mary Lou is preceded in death by her parents, husband Vernon, (5-8-09), sister Elizabeth Patino, and 2 nephews.

Funeral Services are Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at the Fusselman Wymore Funeral Chapel, 413 Elm, Louisville, NE. Burial is at the Glendale Cemetery, Louisville, NE
