Mary C. Horner 88, of Otoe, Nebraska passed away on Friday October 4, 2013 at the Syracuse Good Samaritan Center. She was born on June 17, 1925 to George & Mae (McCall) Cokinos in Perry Florida.

Mary married Clarence V. Horner on December 10, 1944 in Perry Florida and to this union they had 3 children, Risa, Martha and John. Mary was involved with the Garden Club and Episcopal Women.

She is survived by her Daughters: Rise & Jerry Harris of Longview, TX, Martha & Cameron Cummins of Tulsa, OK, Son: John & Cathy Horner of Otoe, NE, Grandchildren: Shannon Van Stroud of Austin, TX, James M. Singleton V, of Los Angeles, CA, Anne Lauren Caldwell of Austin, TX, Jason James Lanier of Dallas, TX, Crista Gabrielle Decker of Lincoln, NE, John Chauncey Horner III of Lincoln, NE and Jacob Daniel Horner of Lincoln, NE, Great Grandchildren: Madison Caldwell, Timothy Caldwell, Julian Horner, Griffin Horner, Maxwell Lanier, Harris Jones, Houston Jones, Alexis McDonald, Julia McDonald, Mary Aldon Harris and Houston E. Harris Jr., Sister: Georgia Haynes of Richardson, TX, Carolyn McCall of Jacksonville, FL and many other nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by Husband: Clarence V. Horner, Sister: Dorothea Benthal, Brother: Bill Cokinos.

Graveside services will be held on October 9, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City, NE. Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 8th from 9 A.M. until 5 P.M. at the funeral home. No viewing due to closed casket.

Memorials are suggested to the Syracuse Good Samaritan Center.
