Mary Lou Warnke was born March 24, 1927 in Nebraska City, Nebraska to Andrew and Blanche (Michon) Millet. She passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Syracuse, Nebraska at the age of 83 years, 7 months, 14 days.
Mary Lou married Vernon Warnke on January 13, 1946 in Holton, Kansas. Together they raised 3 daughters Bobbe, Kathy, and Roxann. She attended Peru State College and worked at Good Samaritan Center and First National Bank of Syracuse both for 14 years. She was very active at St. Johns Church as a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Ladies Aid. She loved to work on ceramics and enjoyed her doll collection. She enjoyed playing cards and working on her puzzles. Most of all she loved to go camping with her family.
Mary Lou is survived by her Husband, Vernon Warnke of Syracuse, NE, Daughters, Bobbe & husband Doug Keller of Gretna, NE, Kathy Ozenbaugh of Auburn, NE, Roxann & husband Jim Countryman of Canton, OH, Grandchildren, Scott Keller, Kevin Keller, Kari Lancaster, Allison Grant, Matthew Ozenbaugh, Travis Ozenbaugh, Michael Kreifels and Kristi Badberg, Step Grandchildren, Mike Countryman, 12 Great Grandchildren, brothers, Francis Millet and Robert Millet, sisters, Betty Donovan and Pauline Long
Mary Lou is preceded in death by her Son, Myron Lynn Warnke, Parents Andrew and Blanche Millet, Brothers, Steven and Louis Millet, Sister, Henrietta Conn
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John's United Church of Christ in Syracuse, Nebraska with Rev. John Finster officiating. Graveside services will be at 1:30 P.M. at Wyuka cemetery in Nebraska City.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to St. John's United Church of Christ.
Interment will be at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City, Nebraska.
