Maxine D. Steinkuhler was born on December 19, 1929 in Sterling, Nebraska to Henry and Elizabeth (Boden) Weyers. She passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at her home in Syracuse, Nebraska surrounded by her family at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 28 days.

She is survived by her Children: Carol Volkmer and husband Larry of Peru, NE, Catherine Steinkuhler of Burr, NE, Dean Steinkuhler of Syracuse, NE, Ray Steinkuhler and wife Lisa of Sterling, NE, Barb Lempka and husband Steve of Sterling, NE, Sue Steinkuhler of Lincoln, NE, 14 Grandchildren. Sisters: Agnes Klein of Syracuse, NE, Marge Rader and husband Charles of Waverly, NE, Bette Headley and husband Floyd of Lincoln, NE; Brothers: Gilbert Weyers and wife Velma of Bennet, NE, Larry Weyers and wife Lois of Depere, WI; Sister-in-law: Leta Steinkuhler of Unadilla, NE. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Elmer; son, Kenneth, brother, Mylon Weyers.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at Hope Lutheran Church in Burr, Nebraska with Rev. Jim Helgren officiating.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 19th from 9:00 AM until 9 PM with family greeting friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
