Maxine Stilwell was born June 19, 1931 to Max & Maude (Page) Ebert. She passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at the Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital, in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 79 years, 1 month, and 3 days.


Maxine married Jack Stilwell on March 24, 1952, at the parsonage, at North Branch, and to this union they raised 2 daughters Ann & Kay. She worked for Gartner Construction for many years. Maxine was a member of O.E.S. # 257- Palmyra, American Legion Auxiliary Post #100, member of United Methodist Church, UMW, FCE Sundowners Club, American Legion Auxiliary District 12 Past President. She also taught school and loved to send cards for many birthdays and anniversaries.


Maxine is survived by her husband Jack Stilwell of Unadilla, NE, daughters Ann and Galen Crawford, of Unadilla, NE, Kay and Tom Bergquist, of Lincoln, NE, grandchildren Dan and Tanya Crawford, of Stromsberg, NE, Ashley and Matt Hillebrandt of Omaha, NE, Megan and Randy Kelly of Lake View, IA, Tracy Cubiotti of Lincoln, NE, great grandchildren Kole Crawford and Christopher Hillebrandt, sisters- Viola Gartner of Unadilla, NE, Lois Ebert of Unadilla, NE, Ruby and husband Ralph Grundman of Talmage, NE, and many friends.


Maxine is preceded in death by her parents, brother Charles, sister Pauline and husband Herb, brother-in-law Ralph Gartner.

Funeral Services will be Monday July 26th, 2010 at 10:30A.M. at the United Methodist Church, Unadilla NE, with Rev. Tony Dawson, Officiating. Burial will be in the Unadilla Cemetery. Family Suggests Memorials to the Families Choice


Visitation will be Sunday, July 25, 2010 from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. at the Funeral Home, with family greeting friends from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
