Obituary
Maynard was born April 18, 1928, in Syracuse, Nebraska, to Arthur and Mamie (Ahrens) Geschke.
Maynard is survived by his wife Malaine Geschke, of Syracuse, Nebraska, children Maynard Geschke, Jr. and wife Marla, of Lincoln, Nebraska, Barbara Lingle and husband Steven, of Weeping Water, Nebraska, Bernard Geschke and wife Cindy, of Papillion, Nebraska, Brian Geschke and wife Carolyn, of New Hampton, Iowa, 9 granchildren, 10 great grandchildren, also survived by many other relatives, special friends and neighbors.
Maynard is preceded in death by his parents, and mother-in-law & father-in-law Florence & Arch Baker.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, January 8th, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at First Lutheran Church (North Branch), Rural Avoca, Nebraska.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 7, 2009 from 2:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. all at the funeral home, and the casket will be open one hour befor services at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Good Samaritan Center of Syracuse, or Tabitha, of Nebraska City.
