Melton D. Dixon Sr. age 76 of Otoe, passed away on September 29, 2014 at Bryan West Hospital in Lincoln. He was born to Arthur & Merle (Myers) Dixon on January 2, 1938 in Peru, NE.

Melton served in the Army from 1955-1958. He married Edra Isaacs on July 14, 1987 in San Diego, CA. He worked as a carpenter and also as a mechanic. Melton loved Nebraska football, riding his motorcycle, watching Nascar and WWE wrestling. He also drove racecars.

Melton is survived by his Wife: Edra Dixon, Son: Dwain Dixon Jr., Daughter: Kathy, Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren, Sister: Betty Bookout, also numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Grandsons: Jason & Daniel Dixon, Sisters: Verna & Velda.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday October 2 at 10:30 A.M. at the Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Chapel in Syracuse. Burial will be at Unadilla cemetery.

The family suggests memorials to the family's choice.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 1 from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home in Syracuse.
