Michael H. A. Smith, 60 of Syracuse, passed away at home on March 21, 2022. He was born on October 13, 1961, in Council Grove, KS to Everett Ray & Charotte (Minor) Smith. On July 22, 1993, he married Dana "Sue" Swain in Council Grove, KS.

Mike had many jobs over the years but was currently working as a custodian for the Nebraska City Middle School. He was a lifelong mechanic and loved working on his motorcycle. Mike also enjoyed gardening with Sue and anything Harley or Ford. He had a great love for his grandkids. Some of their favorite's memories together would be the nerf gun fights or water balloon fights.

He is survived by his wife Dana "Sue" Smith; son Zackery (Carly) Gilbert; daughter Crystal (Shaun) Rempel; grandchildren Destiny, Hunter & Logan Jazbec, Elena Gilbert; brothers Tony Smith, Rick Smith, Charlie Whitaker; uncle Ken Minor; also many other family & friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather Kennith Whitaker; brother Tim
"Bo" Smith and best friend Rascal.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 26 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home in Syracuse. A reception will follow from noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Syracuse Country Club. No viewing or visitation at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
