Michael D. Haag, 66 of Otoe, passed away on April 11, 2023, at the Syracuse Good Samaritan Center. He was born on December 17, 1956, to William & Doris (Miller) Haag in Torrance, CA.

Michael worked as a boilermaker, but always found time for the things he loved. These included riding and working on his Harley, drag car racing, hunting, fishing and relaxing with a beer and cigar.

He is survived by his daughter Siarra Haag of Ottumwa, IA; grandson Terran Haag of Ottumwa, IA; brother Russell (Sam) Haag of Syracuse; also many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father & stepmother Bill & Jackie Haag and mother Doris Deschler.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 15 at 1:30 p.m. at Park Hill Cemetery in Syracuse. A visitation will be held from noon until 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home in Syracuse.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
