Milford Gail Meisinger
Milford Gail Meisinger was born on June 20, 1920 at Cedar Creek, Nebraska to John R. and Sarah Ainley (Bailey) Meisinger. He died on Monday, June 30, 2008 at the Ashland Care Center at the age of 88 years and 10 days.
Milford married Sylvia Miller on October 16, 1943 in Greenwood, Nebraska. From this union came three children, Betty, John, and David. Milford retired from Ash Grove Cement Company in Louisville after 25 years. He loved mules and horses and participated in all kinds of horse drawn activities, including parades such as River City Roundup. Milford logged hundreds of miles with his Standardbred mare, "Honey", hauling numerous brides & grooms in his buggy. Milford appreciated a good pair of mules and hauled anything from school kids to boy scouts. Milford enjoyed all kinds of dancing and rarely missed an opportunity to do so. He also loved coon hunting and blue tick coon dogs.
Milford is survived by his wife, Sylvia of Ashland, Daughter: Betty Meyer and husband Terry, Sons – John of Louisville, Dave Meisinger and wife Holly of Ashland, Grandchildren – Michele Fortney of Murdock, Mark Meyer and wife Michelle of Murdock, Brenda Meyer of Omaha, Nathan Meisinger of Springfield, Sara Meisinger of Fremont, Deric Meisinger and wife Kim of Bellevue, Dana Lambert and husband Matt, of Greenwood, and Darci Meisinger of Murdock. 12 Great Grandchildren, Sister – Hattie Barnes of Louisville, Sister-in-law – Bessie Meisinger of Springfield, NE and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers - Glen, Floyd, Clayton, Sisters - Viola Dwyer, Mabel Urwin, and Dorothy Heard.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 9 AM-9PM with family present from 6-8, all at the Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, July 3, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Fusselman Wymore Funeral Chapel, 413 Elm Street, Louisville, NE, with burial at Riverview Cemetery, Louisville, NE. Memorials are suggested to Family's Choice.
