Milton Charles Boldt, 83, of Douglas, Nebraska, passed away September 3, 2023, at Bryan West Hospice in Lincoln. He was born to Harold & Mary (Corzine) Boldt on July 28, 1940, and grew up in Douglas.

Milton was a 1957 graduate of Douglas High School. He attended UNL for one year to study music and was in a singing group. He married Doris Bogema in 1960 and was blessed with three children.

Before beginning his career as a dairy farmer in the mid-60s, he had several jobs including owning and operating a backhoe. In 2000, he started Boldt Farms Inc. along with his two sons. Milton also owned a bulldozer which he loved to operate on the farm.

Milton had a passion for music and loved singing with his brothers and sister. He was at his happiest singing with his quartet, the Melody Men, a group that formed when he was a teenager. He was a long-time member of the Douglas United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir, served on the church board and taught Sunday school. He also served on the Douglas School Board for twenty years.

Milton had a big heart and would see the best in people. His greatest joy was being able to help others whenever he could. One of his most meaningful times of service was volunteering at the Nebraska Correctional Services.
