Milton L. Kreifels, age 82, of Syracuse, Nebraska passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Syracuse Area Health. He was born August 16, 1938 in Unadilla, Nebraska to Frank and Florence (Harris) Kreifels.

On September 10, 1956 Milton wed Janet Hespen at the St. Paulinus Catholic Church in Syracuse. To this union, they were blessed with five children. He enjoyed being involved in his children's lives and always had a charming way to bring a smile to your face.   Milton owned MK Meats from 1965 – 1995, where he owned and operated his livestock slaughter & meat processing business.   After retirement, he founded Hickory Hunk smoked jerky and meat stick snacks.  In his free time, he enjoyed golf and socializing as a member of the Syracuse Country Club.  He was a long-time parishioner at the St. Paulinus Catholic Church.

Milton was proceeded in death by his wife Janet on January 8, 2017. He is also proceeded in death by his parents, Frank and Florence Kreifels, and his siblings, Luella (Ernie) Stutheit, Robert Kreifels, Raymond (Arlene) Kreifels, Cathleen (Roy) Chrastil, Harlan (Irma Jean) Kreifels, John (Rosie) Kreifels, Marion Kreifels, and Francis (Jean) Kreifels.

He is survived by his children Rick Kreifels of Syracuse, Deb (Randy) Landwehr of Syracuse, Doug (Sheila) Kreifels of Cary, NC, Brad Kreifels and friend Julie of Downers Grove, IL, Pat (Darlene) Kreifels of Lincoln, 12 Grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, Sister-In-Laws Betty Jean Kreifels of Lincoln, Mary Ellen Kreifels of Omaha, Janice Meadows of Syracuse and Lucy Kreifels of Syracuse.

Visitation will be Friday, April 9, 2021, from 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM Fusselman Allen Harvey Funeral Home, Syracuse, NE.

A Rosary will be held Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 9:00 AM followed by a 10 AM Funeral Mass, all at the St. Paulinus Catholic Church, Syracuse, NE.

The service will be livestreamed on the St. Paulinus Church's Facebook page.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Kreifels' family.
