Obituary

Minnie A. Grafe was born on November 30, 1914 in Avoca, Nebraska to Ahrndt & Maria (Minderman) Grafe. She passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Center in Syracuse, Nebraska at the age of 95 years, 2 months and 9 days.

Minnie was a lifelong resident of the Avoca and Syracuse Areas. She lived in rural Avoca until moving to Syracuse with her brother Henry in 1982. In 2001, she moved to Gramercy Hill in Lincoln, Nebraska and in April 2008 she moved to the Good Samaritan Center in Syracuse, NE where she lived until her passing.

She was a member of Faith Circle, The Sunshine Club, a life-long member of First Lutheran Church (North Branch), where she was active as a Sunday School Teacher for many years.

She is survived by her niece, Pauline Grafe of Lincoln, NE; nephew Martin Blaser of Tillamook, OR. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, four sisters, niece Verna Baldwin and husband Ervan, nephew, Elmer Grafe and niece Lydia Blasser.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at the First Lutheran Church (North Branch) in rural Avoca, Nebraksa with Rev. William Dressen officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 11th from 2:00 PM until 9 PM and Friday, Feb. 12th from 9 AM until 9PM at the Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to the Church or the American Cancer Society.
