Myrna C. Hespen, 94 of Syracuse passed away July 16, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Center in Syracuse. She was born to Lewis & Emma (Gartner) Wendeln in rural Syracuse on February 26, 1922.

She married Sterling Hespen on August 14, 1941 at St. John's UCC in Syracuse. She was a proud farmers wife and loved gardening, cattle, cats and sewing. She was a member of St. John's UCC Women's Fellowship, Farm Bureau, Neb. Polled Hereford Assoc., Otoe Co. Extension Club and 4-H as a Leader.

She is survived by her Daughter: Phyllis (James) Masters; Grandchildren: Deb Dettmer, Sheryl Schroer, Joanna (Ed) Zastera, all of Syracuse, Dan Masters (Liza) of Unadilla; Great Grandchildren: Taylor & Eli Dettmer, Paige, Ethan & Jackson Zastera, Camden, Calla & Chloe Masters; Sister-in-law: Marie (Keith) Goering.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband: Sterling; 2 infant daughters: Charlotte & Kathryn; Sister & Brother-in-law: Eunice & Virgil Windhorst; Brothers-in-law: Richard & Kenneth Hespen.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 20, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John's UCC in Syracuse. Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 19 from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6-7:30 P.M. all at the funeral home.
