Nadine E. Boyes, 90 of Syracuse, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Syracuse Good Samaritan Center. She was born on March 9, 1927 to Henry & Edna (Trautman) Klein in Sutton, NE.

Nadine married the love of her life, Charles Boyes on April 4, 1945 in Sutton. They stayed devoted to each other for 73 years. During WWII she worked in Fairmont packing parachutes. She later worked at Norden Laboratory for 22 years, retiring in 1990. Nadine was an avid Husker fan attending many home and away games, she also was a season ticket holder for 45 years. She loved square dancing at Pla Mor every Thursday with Charles. Nadine was also very skilled at crocheting. She was a faithful member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church. Most of all she adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her Husband: Charles; Children: Jolene Whitehead of Geneva, Bill Boyes of Enid, OK, Gary (Lauri) Boyes of Lincoln, Patty Pitner of Lincoln; 11 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren; Sister: Janet Schnunkwiler of Grand Island; Sister-in-law: Lola Mae Manthei-Bauer of Geneva; also numerous nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter: Pamela Schmersal; son-in-law: Mark Pitner; sister & brother-in-law: LaVone & Alvin Mierau and brother-in-law: Martyn Schnunkwiler.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 27 ^th at 2:00 P.M. at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Syracuse. Burial will be at Park Hill cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 26 ^th from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home in Syracuse.

Memorials are suggested to Luther Memorial Lutheran Church.
