Nancy H. Thormahlen, 71 of Burr, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at the Gold Crest Retirement Center in Adams, NE. She was born on August 15, 1945 to Herman & Lorena (Wohlers) Bose in Nebraska City, NE.

Nancy married Roger Thormahlen on June 7, 1969 at the First Lutheran Church (North Branch) in rural Avoca. She was the village clerk in Burr for 38 years. She was also very active in the United Methodist Women in Burr, Burr Community Club and Relay for Life. Nancy loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her Husband: Roger Thormahlen; Daughters: Tara (Brian) Buss, Tina (Leroy) Richardson; Grandchildren: Thies Richardson, Jordyn Buss, Case Richardson, Jayden Buss, Lane Richardson; Siblings: Marilyn Mattox, Jane Fossenbarger, Lynn (Sue) Bose; Brother-in-law: Larry McCartney; Sister-in-law & Brother-in-law: Karen (Mike) DeHart; also many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Sister: Lois McCartney; Brothers-in-law: Dale Mattox, Ken Fossenbarger.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at the Adams United Methodist Church. Burial at Highland cemetery in Adams. Memorials are suggested to the Burr United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 28 from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home in Syracuse.
