Norma S. Berner, 92 of Syracuse, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the Syracuse Good Samaritan Center. She was born on July 31, 1925 to John & Maria Anna (Buchholz) Sudman.

Norma married Dean Berner on April 17, 1945 at the First Lutheran Church (North Branch). She worked with Dean on the farm and also at Berner's Western Wear for 15 years in Syracuse. She enjoyed cooking and baking.

Norma is survived by her Husband: Dean Berner; Daughter: Carol Berner; Son: Don (Tammy) Berner; Brother: Wilmer (Shirley) Sudman; Sister: Delores (Leo) Carr. Also many grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Parents; Daughter: Shirley; Sons: Darrel & David; Sister: Helen; Brothers: George "Bud", Ralph and LeRoy "Dick".

Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 16 at 2:00 P.M. at First Lutheran Church (North Branch) in rural Avoca. Burial will be at the First Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
