Norma Jean "Jeanie" Schick Reinke of Ashland passed away on Saturday, November 12th 2016 at the Williamsburg Tabitha. She was born on January 6, 1931 to Fred and Nora (Weyers) Schick of Elmwood, Nebraska.

Jeanie graduated from Elmwood high school in 1948. She attended the University of Nebraska College of Agriculture and graduated in 1952. She married Paul Reinke on August 2, 1952 at the Elmwood Methodist Church. She taught at Louisville & Murdock Public School until starting a family.

Jeanie devoted her life to her family and church. She loved the farm where she took great pride in her landscaping, gardening and canning fruits and vegetables from her own "harvest".

Jeanie also enjoyed being around people. She worked at Happy Chef restaurant for several years as well as Mahoney State Park. She loved her friends and enjoyed a wide variety of activities ranging from dancing to many games especially Rummy Cube. She was an active member of the Elmwood Modern Mothers club for many years.

Jeanie is survived by her Son: Randy (Gretchen) Reinke of Elmwood; Daughter: Rhonda (Steve) Bors of Lincoln; Grandchildren: Eric & Kailyn Bors of Lincoln, Anna Reinke of Elmwood; Sister: Frances Stall of Eagle.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Murdock, NE. Inurnment will be at Trinity Lutheran cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 15 from 1 P.M. until 7 P.M. with family greeting friends from 5-7 P.M. A prayer service will be held at 5 P.M. all at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Elmwood Community Center.
