Norman L. Antes was born, August 19, 1930, in Syracuse, Nebraska, to Paul & Dorothy (Ross) Antes. He passed away, Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at the Good Samaritan Center, in Syracuse, Nebraska, at the age of 79 years, 1 month, and 24 days.

Norman married Aldean Steinhoff, on March 12, 1950, in Syracuse, Nebraska, and to this union they raised Kent and Kay. He was a Farmer, along with being a Realtor, Broker, and Appraiser. Norman was a Partner with the Graneman Agency, in Nebraska City for 20 years. He was a Rural Fire Board Member, Former Syracuse Rescur Squad member, Church Board member, Nebraska City Eagles, and Card Clubs. Norman was a good Welder, and loved spending time with his grandchildren, woking with his hands, and raising Minature Donkeys.

Norman is survived by his children Kent & Susan Antes, of Syracuse, NE, and Kay & Ron Anderson, of Lincoln, NE, his Mother Dorothy Antes, of Syracuse, NE, grandchildren Laura & Kasey Matoush, of Lincoln, NE, Scott Anderson, of Lincoln, NE, Cortney & Justin Ray, of Lincoln, NE, great grandchildren Mitch, Ella, Marah Matoush.

Norman is preceded in death by his father Paul Antes, and wife Aldean, (2/25/1999)

Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery, in Syacuse, Nebraska.

Memorial Services will be Friday, October 16, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Luther Memorial Church, Syracuse, Nebraska.
