Norman W. Kupke was born on April 30, 1945 in Nebraska City, Nebraska to August and Pauline (Vogler) Kupke. He passed away at Nebraska Heart Hospital in Lincoln, NE on Tuesday, May 26, 2009. at the age of 64 years and 26 days.

Norman was raised in the Murdock area and graduated from Murdock High School with the Class of 1963. He worked for the Cass County Roads Department for 29 years, he also drove School Bus for Murdock Schools, and owned his own barber shop in Murdock.

He was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Murdock where he served for 22 years as an Elder, on the Church Cemetery Board and church secretary. He was baptized at Trinity and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church because of a pastor vacancy.

In his spare time, Norman enjoyed bowling, fishing, bow hunting, gardening and being outdoors. He especially enjoyed time with nieces and nephews

He is survived by his Brother, Gerald Kupke of Weeping Water, NE; Sisters, Margaret Shavlik and husband Myron of Riverton, WY; Lucille Kupke of Denver, CO; Helen Mather and husband Rodney of Weeping Water, NE

. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother.

Funeral Services will be Friday, May 29, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Murdock, Nebraska, with Rev. Brent Kuhlman officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 28th from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home and one hour before services at the Church.
