Orlin G. Moss, 77 of Burr, passed away on March 15, 2015 at the Johnson County Hospital in Tecumseh. He was born on the family farm near Burr, NE to Julius & Adelia (Tonsing) Moss on December 16, 1937.

Orlin married Marjorie Royal on June 22, 1963. She passed away on February 17, 1995 and he married Joyce Giesmann Hestermann on June 27, 1997. Orlin served in the Army reserves for 2 years. Orlin farmed around Burr his whole life. He was very active in the community serving on the Hope Lutheran Church Council and as a Sunday School Teacher. He also was on the Co-op Board, School Board and loved going to his children & grandchildren's activities and spending time with family and friends.

Orlin is survived by his Wife: Joyce Moss of Burr, Children: Russel (Sheri) Moss of Burr, Gary Moss of Columbus, OH, Keith (Deb) Moss of Burr, Cindi (Darwin) Lehmann of Forest City, IA, Grandchildren: Emily (Fredrick) Rumery, David Moss, Kathleen & Caden Moss, Sarah, Jessica & Lindsey Moss, Grant, Zachary & Anna Lehmann, Step-Children: Dean (Cheryl) Hestermann & family of Firth, Scott (Jamie) Hestermann & family of Syracuse, Cindy (Mike) Sayers & family of Lincoln, Sisters-in-law: Adline Moss of Adams, Marilyn Moss of Syracuse, Brothers-in-law: Gerald (Claretta) Royal of Palmyra, Glen (Betty) Royal of Palmyra, Larry (Myla) Giesmann of Sterling, also several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife: Marjorie on Feb. 17, 1995, Brother: Vernon, Sister & Brother-in-law: Ardyth & Duane Ronnau, Granddaughter: Addison Hestermann, Brother-in-law: Harold Moss.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday March 20, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at Hope Lutheran Church in Burr, NE. Burial will be at the Hope Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday March 19 from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home in Syracuse.

Memorials are suggested to the Leukemia Society or Hope Lutheran Church.
