Patsy Sue Sawyer age 79 of Louisville, Nebraska passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022, at Midlands Hospital in Papillion, Nebraska. She was born on February 23, 1943, in Norwood, Missouri to Howard and Ellen (Nichol) Dobbs.
Patsy graduated from Louisville High School in 1960. She and James Sawyer were united in marriage on May 28, 1960, at the First Christian Church in Louisville, Nebraska. Together they made their home and raised their three children, Jim, Jr., Brad and Rhonda, in Louisville. She worked for many years as a customer service representative for American Parts System.
Patsy was a longtime member of the First Christian Church in Louisville where she previously served on the Church Board. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary #353, Royal Neighbors of America, helped organize the Annual Louisville Alumni Banquet, served on the Louisville Library Board and was a member of a local Book Club. Patsy enjoyed being part of the Louisville Community and sharing her time and talents in anyway she could.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard & Ellen (Nichol) Dobbs, husband James L. Sawyer, brothers, Jim & Randy Dobbs.
She is survived by her children, James Sawyer, Jr., Louisville, Rhonda (Richard) Bunz, Hooper, Bradley (Julie) Sawyer, Louisville, grandchildren, Kyle Sawyer, Nathan (Sasha) Sawyer, Nicole (Joe) Warren, Blake Bunz, Morgan Bunz, great grandchildren, Mason Sawyer, Tate Sawyer, Makenzie & Tayah Miller, Mallory & Madelynn Warren sisters, Judy (Don) McKinney, Louisville, Deb O'Driscoll, Kansas City, KS, brother, Bob Dobbs, Louisville.
Funeral Services will be Friday, September 2, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the Louisville United Methodist Church, Louisville, NE.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 1, 2022, from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM (family present 6:00 – 8:00 PM) at the Louisville Senior Center.
Memorials are suggested to the Louisville American Legion Aux. #353 or American Cancer Society.
