Patty L. (Colby) Niebrugge

86, of Indianapolis, passed away January 6, 2018.  Patty was born in York, Nebraska on November 15, 1931 to the late, Claude M. and Goldie M. (Elliott) Colby.

Patty graduated from high school at the age of 16 and began her teaching career in a one-room school in Nebraska.  She went on to earn her bachelor's degree in education from Peru State College.

Patty was a member of Lawrence United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, reading, and was an avid Jeopardy fan.  She adored her family and especially loved spending time with her daughter and son-in-law for Sunday Dinner.

Patty was a loving and devoted wife, mother and friend.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Lester W. "Les" Niebrugge; sister, Mildred Biggerstaff, and brother, Chester "Chet" Colby.

She will be lovingly missed by her daughter, Ann L. Yater (Bill); sister, Joann Kaffenberger; as well as several other loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ (Osage) in rural Cook, NE. Burial will take place in St. Paul's United Church of Christ Cemetery in rural Cook, Nebraska.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Patty's name to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
