Patty Jo Sorensen was born on January 10, 1957 in Nebraska City, Nebraska to Cecil Amos and Ruth Charlotte (Sjogren) Beck.  She died on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at UNMC in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 62 years, 2 months, and 17 days.

Patty attended Dutch Academy Country School and graduated with a GED, Louisville, Nebraska.  She worked a variety of jobs over her lifetime. She worked as a babysitter, a mail room supervisor at Card Member Publishing in Omaha and was a well-loved paraprofessional at Louisville Elementary.  Family and children were two of her greatest loves. Patty was a strong-willed person that enjoyed many activities. She enjoyed country music. Patty was independent enough to mow the lawn herself and bale the hay. Her favorite response was "I'm Just Saying…"

Patty is survived by sons Gary Sorensen and special friend Lisa, Mike (Laura) Sorensen, and Brian (Lindsey) Sorensen, sisters Elaine Storovich, Jane (Kim) Pohlen, brother Jerry (Nadine) Beck, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents- Amos and Ruth Beck, sister Dixie, and son Kyle.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church, 222 Walnut Street, Louisville, Nebraska, with burial at Oakwood Cemetery, Weeping Water, Nebraska. Family asked that Memorials should go to the family for later designation.

Visitation will be Friday, March 29, 2019 from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6:0 P.M. until 8:00 P.. all at the funeral home.
