Obituary
Patty June VanHousen was born on June 10, 1930 in Nebraska City, Nebraska to Grant and Helen (Ottnot) Fallers. She entered eternal rest on November 25, 2007 at the Good Samaritan Center in Syracuse, Nebraska at the age of 77 years, 5 months and 15 days.
She raised and educated in the Syracuse area. Patty united in marriage to William M. VanHousen on October 28, 1949 at the United Methodist Church in Syracuse, Nebraska, together they raised three children, Mary, Tom and Bob.
She worked for many years as the Assistant Librarian at the Syracuse Public Schools. Patty was a member of the United Methodist Church in Syracuse, NE and the UMW.
She is survived by her Husband: William VanHousen of Syracuse, NE; Daughter: Mary Petrow and husband John of Mission Hills, KS; Sons: Tom VanHousen and wife Alice of Algonquin, IL; Bob VanHousen of South Lake Tahoe, CA; Granddaughters: Anna and Helen Petrow of Mission Hills, KS; Sister: Linda Brockhoff and husband Ralph of Avoca, NE; Brother-in-law: Donald VanHousen of Syracuse, NE. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Parents.
Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the United Methodist Church in Syracuse, Nebraska with Rev. Richard Dimond officiating.
Visitation to sign the register book will be on Tuesday, November 27th from 9:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M.
The family suggests memorials in lieu of flowers to the Syracuse Good Samaritan Center.
