Peggy Lou 'Stratton' Meyer born June 21, 1938 to John William Stratton and Emma Lavina 'Dixon' Stratton. Married Gene Henry Meyer on June 24, 1956. To this marriage three children were born; Cynthia Lou Meyer, Johnny Gene Meyer, Charles Dean Meyer. Cindy was married to Tim Schmitt on July 27, 1991 to this marriage was born two girls; Katie Ann, Christine Marie was. Chuck was married to Barbra Lee Zaladeck to this marriage was born two children; Courtney Lynn, Robert Charles Meyer .

Peggy Lou worked at Mutual of Omaha one year after high school before she married Butch and worked at Hon's Variety for a year then started their family. After the children were in school, Peggy babysat. Then, when the school got a cafeteria, she went to work at the school cafeteria as a fill in or sub. When Butch retired they traveled to Texas in February of 1992, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999. It was fun for her to enjoy the warm weather in the winter.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church, 222 Walnut, Louisville, with burial at Riverview Cemetery also in Louisville.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with the family greeting friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. all at the funeral home.
