Penny L. Morrison, 66 of Syracuse, passed away on May 8, 2025, at the Syracuse Hospital. She was born to Carol DeMoss on February 12, 1959, in Denver, Colorado.

Penny was a truck driver for over 40 years. She married Gary Morrison on November 7, 2001, in Nebraska City. Penny also drove a school bus for the Syracuse-Dunbar-Avoca School District.

She is survived by her daughter Cassandra Stanek; grandchildren Brandon, Montana, Nicholas & Alexis Thies; brother Richard DeMoss; sister Jennifer Monroe; aunts Mary Bishop, Jessie DeMoss and husband Mike, Alice Strange & Linda Russum; uncle Tom and wife JoAnn DeMoss; nephew Cody Blue, and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mom, grandparents and husband Gary in 2022.

To honor Penny's wishes, a private burial will take place at the Omaha National Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
