Obituary

Ray G. Anderson, 82 of Syracuse passed away at home surrounded by family on Friday April 26, 2013. He was born on October 9, 1930 to Charles & Edna (Cooper) Anderson in Hartington, Nebraska.

Ray married Minnie Benning on November 1, 1953 in Randolph, Nebraska and to this union they had 14 children. He served in the Marines for 2 years and then worked as a Driller at Martin Marietta for 32 years. Ray loved playing cards, hunting, fishing at Gavins Point Dam and camping in Texas.

Ray is survived by his wife of 59 years Minnie, Children: Maggie Sahs, Andi Mather, Roberta & Patrick Boyle, Connie Randle, Rusty & Julie Anderson, Jane Anderson, Rex Anderson, Sally Anderson, Terry Anderson, Katie Anderson & boyfriend Bill Breazile, Peggy Anderson & Stewart Heard, Kelly Anderson, Jesse Anderson & girlfriend Lorna Patterson, Grandchildren: Paul (Carra) Sahs, Brandon Kleinbeck, Aaron Anderson, Dustin Anderson, Shawn Staack, Leslie Staack, Kyle Boyle, Dylan Boyle, Shad Anderson, Rebecca & Jerome O'Flarety, Joshua & Tonya Anderson, Jessica & Joey Hedges, Jett Ford, Andrew Anderson, Mitchell Wachter, Cordell Wachter, KayLynn Hanshaw, Collin Anderson, Hunter Anderson, Aspen Warriner, Great Grandchildren: Jaxton Sahs, Kylie Anderson, Tommy-Ann Hedges, Samuel Hedges, Desiree Anderson, Daughter-in-law: Candie Anderson, Brother: Clarence Anderson, Sister-in-law: Viola Anderson, Brothers-in-law: Robert Benning & Mary Wilson and Ronald Benning.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Son: Jerry, Grandson: Michael Sahs, Great Granddaughter: Sierra Sahs, Sons-in-law: Wayne Sahs, Hap Mather

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday April 30, 2013 at 10 A.M. at the First Lutheran Church (North Branch) with Rev. William Dressen officiating.

Burial will be at the First Lutheran Cemetery (North Branch).

Visitation will be held on Monday April 29 from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 5 until 7 P.M. at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society or the Diabetes Foundation.
