Robert E. Beck was born June 20, 1931, to Ernest and Maggie (Dobbs) Beck at Weeping Water Nebraska. He passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Midlands Hospital, Papillion, at the age of 82 years, 3 months, and 19 days.

Robert married Janice Jeppesen, on June 3, 1955, in Blair, Nebraska, and to this union they raised five children Twila, Robert, Richard, Treasa, and Rodney. He served in the United States Army in Korea and in his later years, he attended reunions of his 424 Battery. Robert worked for Ash Grove Cement Company for a short time, but his love was farming, and working with registered Appaloosa and
draft horses. Robert showed his horses for many years at horse shows, including the Nebraska State Fair. He collected antique horse equipment and farm hand tools. He enjoyed many friendships gained from years of involvement in 4-H in Cass County. Robert was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Robert is survived by his wife Janice, of Louisville, NE, children Twila Beck, of Lincoln, NE, Richard of Louisville, and Treasa and husband Keith Baker, of Sloan, IA, grandchildren Amanda, Cassandra, and Trent Baker, sister Mae Grell, of Louisville, NE along with many friends.

Robert is preceded in Death by his parents, and sons Robert and Rodney, brothers – Lyle, Earl, and Amos.

Funeral will be Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 36712 Church Road, Louisville, Nebraska, burial will be at the Church Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers Family Suggests Memorials To Donor's Choice

Visitation will be Friday, October 11, 2013, from 9 AM – 9 PM with family present from 5-6 at the funeral home. At the Church on Saturday, we will have the Casket open one Hour before services on.
