Robert Henry Davis was born on June 8, 1936 to Henry A. and Dorothy (Knutson) Davis in Louisville, Nebraska. He died on March 26, 2020 at the Eastern Nebraska Veteran's Home in Bellevue, Nebraska at the age of 83 years, 9 months, and 18 days.
Robert served our country during the Korean Conflict with the Marines. Robert was a truck driver. He participated in many activities in early life. Robert played basketball and even played a game against the All-American Red Heads, a women's professional basketball team. He rebuilt a 1961 Harley-Davidson Motorcycle. He coached Little League football with a highlight of them getting a chance to travel to and play in Texas. Robert taught all his kids to drive, especially on ice. He loved watching movies with his daughter, Linda. At the Veteran's home, he would tease his nurse, Tracy, when she wanted him to take his nasal spray. He would either call her Teresa or Warden. He was an important part of his family's life.
Surviving Robert are his children Sherry Davis, Robert E. (Barb) Davis, Linda S. Davis, 12 Grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by son Mike, parents Henry and Dorothy Davis, wife Edith, 2 nd wife Pat, a great granddaughter, Rebecca Busch, and sister Donna Stambaugh.
Due to the Government restrictions during this pandemic, the family has chosen a Private Family Funeral Service on 4/1/2020 at 11:00 AM.
