Robert "Bob" Desh, was born March 30, 1932, in Shenandoah, Iowa, to Vivian & Julia (Manley)Desh. He passed away, on August 2, 2012, in Lincoln, Nebraska, at the age of 80 years, 4 months, and 3 days.

Bob married Patricia Hill on May 3, 1952, in Shenandoah, Iowa, and to this marriage they raised 4 children Robert, William, Bryan, and Kay. He worked as a Bookbinder in Sidney, IA (taking over from his father & grandfather), later working in Omaha, NE, and later in Lincoln, NE. Bob was past member of the Lincoln Continentals Barbershop Choirs, the Palmyra Fire & Rescue Department, and the American Legion Post #195, having served in the Korean War, in the Army.

Bob is survived by his wife Pat, sons Robert & wife Barbara Desh, William Desh & friend Hollie LaPorte, Bryan & wife Diana Desh, and daughter Kay & husband Allen Steinmeyer, 10 grandchildren Kerry & husband Gregg Lathrop, Christopher & wife Tina Desh, Angela & husband Ben Modrell, Brandon & wife Vicky Desh, Trevor & wife Heidi Steinmeyer, Andrew & wife Beth Steinmeyer, Bret Des, Samanatha Desh, Dena Lorenson, Devan Lorenson, great grandchildren Ian Lathrop, Jaylon Steinmeyer, Riley Steinmeyer, Paisley Steinmeyer, Ella Desh, along with his sister Mary Clemens, and brother-in-law Ron & wife Kathy Green.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, and sister Joan Green

Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. at the Palmyra Presbyterian Church, Palmyra, NE, with burial after lunch, in Grandview Cemetery rural Sidney IA. Memorials are suggested to the families choice.

There will be No Visitation or Viewing at the request of the Family.
