Robert D. Schoepfer was born on January 4, 1946 in Queens, New York to John and Vera (Madden) Schoepfer. He passed away Sunday, March 29, 2009 at his home in Plattsmouth surrounded by his family at the age of 63 years.

Bob, began working as a steamfitter shortly after graduation and retired as a Master Steamfitter and a member of the Steamfitters Union #464. On October 15, 1972, he was united in marriage to Margherite Zuccarini in Long Island, New York. He had a passion for life and loved many things, being outdoors, flying his plane, motorcycling, boating. He loved the ocean and the mountains and traveling all over the country. Most of all Bob loved his wonderful family and many good friends who share his life and all the fun times.

He is survived by his Wife: Margherite Schoepfer of Plattsmouth, NE; Brother: John Schoepfer of South Carolina; Mother-in-law: Marie Zuccarini of Plattsmouth, NE; Sister-in-law: Joanne Swarbrick and husband George of Plattsmouth, NE; Brother-in-law: Al Zuccarini and wife Kathy of Peoria, IL; Nieces: Kristi Schoepfer, Nicole Zuccarini & Corinne Swarbrick.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, father-in-law: John Zuccarini.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth with Monsignor Paul Witt officiating.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 from 1:00 P.m. until 9:00 P.M. with family greeting friends from 1-4 P.M. and 6-9 P.M. at the Funeral Home. At 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday there will be a Remembrance Celebration for family and friends at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to the Schoepfer family to help those in need of cancer related services.
