Obituary

Robert Wiebke was born June 11, 1936, on the farm near Cook, Nebraska, to Martin and Emma (Spanjer) Wiebke. He passed away, on Wednesday, March 5th, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska, at the age of 77 years, 8 month, and 22 days

Bob married Carol Feurer, on June 2, 1963, at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, at Johnson, Nebraska, and to this union they raised two children Barb and Brian. He served in the United States Army, and was Discharged in 1963. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, and meeting friends for coffee every morning. He was on the Grace Lutheran Church Council, Sunday School Teacher, and even after moving to town he still went out to the field to help with whatever was needed. He farmed from 1963 until 1986 when he went to work for the City of Cook, NE and was there for many years.

Bob is survived by his wife Carol of Cook, NE daughter Barb (Jeff) Fricke, of Burr, NE, son Brian (Terri) Wiebke, of Cook, NE, grandchildren; Casey (Emily) Fricke, of Cook, NE, Dustin (Jessi) Fricke, of Adam, NE, Ethan Fricke, of Burr, NE, Katie Hupka, of Lincoln, NE, and Kellie Hupka, of Cook, NE, great grandchildren; Noah, Kael, Carter, and Jude, sisters and brothers Marilyn Saathoff, of Sterling, NE, Stan Wiebke, of Cook, NE, Eunice Wieble, of Washington, Charles Wiebke, of Iowa, Ivan Wiebke, of CO.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents Martin and Emma Wiebke, his brother Everett, and Ralph, sister Sandy Armknecht.

Funeral service will be Monday, March 10, 2014, at 2:00 P.M. at Grace Lutheran Church, Cook, Nebraska, with burial at Helena Cemetery. Family suggest memorials to the Families choice for later designation .

Visitation will be Sunday from 9:00 A. M. until 9:00 P.M., and the family will greet friends Sunday at the Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
