Obituary
Rodney Wallman was born on February 5, 1942 in Beatrice, Nebraska to George and Emma (Stevens) Wallman. He passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at the Bryan LGH Medical Center West in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 65 years.
Rodney graduated from Syracuse High School in 1959. In 1963, he enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea. He was united in marriage on May 5, 1967 to Carol Kuenning at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Syracuse, Nebraska.
He was a member of of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, and was also on Parish Ministry Board, Choir, taught Sunday School, and on the Church Council, he was currently serving as Commander Mid Otoe County V.F.W. #5547, Massie Richards Post 100, American Legion Post, President of Rural Fire Board, Germanfest Burgermeister, (1998) and a 4H Leader all in Syracuse, Nebraska.
He is survived by his : Wife: Carol Wallman of Syracuse, NE; Children/Grandchildren: John, Christy, George Samuel & Max Wallman of Valley Center, KS; Paul Wallman of Syracuse, NE; Chris, Jacque, Ethan & Megan Wallman of Syracuse, NE; Amy & Chad Ferris of Syracuse, NE. Sister, Marilyn & Bill Owel, of Gig Harbor, WA, Brothers, Arlin & Rae Jean Wallman, of LaVista, NE, Lawrence Wallman, of Soddy Daisy, TN, Louis & Judy Wallman, of Syracuse, NE, Terry & Sherryl Wallman, of Cortland, NE, Parents-in-law, Melvin & Irene Kuenning, of Syracuse, NE, Brothers-in-law & Sisters-in-law, Gary & Ellen Kuening, of Syracuse, NE, Roger & Laurie Kuenning, of Syracuse, NE, Mary Ann & Doug Boldt, of Callaway, NE, Kathryn & Kevin Johnson, of Columbus, NE, Aunts, Teda Meints, of Cortland, NE, Marie Wallman, of Martell, NE, and Kathrine Wallman, of Beatrice.
He was preceded in death by his Parents: George & Emma Wallman, and Nephew, Monte Wallman
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Syracuse, Nebraska with Rev. Paul Coen officiating.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 10th from Noon until 9:00 P.M., Sunday, February 11th from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M., Monday, February 12th from 9:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. A Prayer service will be held on Monday at 6:00 P.M. at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church.
Interment will be in Park Hill Cemetery in Syracuse, Nebraska
