Roger D. "Rusty" Snodgrass was born on September 24, 1938 in Murray, Nebraska to Elwood and Oval (Worthan) Snodgrass. He passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at the Golden Living Center in Plattsmouth, Nebraska at the age of 71 years, 2 months and 22 days.

Rusty was raised in the Murray and Plattsmouth areas, graduating from Plattsmouth High School in 1956. On June 27, 1959, he was united in marriage to Barbara Williams at St. John's Catholic Church in Plattsmouth. He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963. When he returned from the service, he joined his parents in operating the Corner Bar in Plattsmouth. He also worked at Lyman Richey for a few years, he then moved to Omaha where he worked at Alamito Dairy for 7 years. He and Barb then moved back to Plattsmouth where he owned and operated Rusty's Bar for 32 years until an illness forced him to retire.

Rusty was a Golden Eagle and a member of the American Legion both in Plattsmouth.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara Snodgrass of Plattsmouth, NE; sisters-in-law; Elizabeth Snodgrass of Murray, NE; Betty Jo. Keisner and husband James of Fremont, NE; brothers-in-law: Hal Williams and wife Mary Anne of Spokane, WA; DJ Williams and wife Carolyn of Spokane, WA, God Sons: Doug & Kevin Tilson of Plattsmouth, NE;

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Robert "Corkey" Snodgrass, parent-in-laws: Harold & Rose Williams.

Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at Fusselman-Wymore Funeral Home in Plattsmouth.

No Visitation.
