Ronald L. Palmer, 77 of Syracuse, passed away on June 22, 2019 at the Syracuse Good Samaritan Center. He was born on April 3, 1942 to Melvin & Viola (Lockman) Palmer in Lincoln, NE.
Ron married Karen Scurto on July 16, 2003 in Nebraska City. He worked at Burlington Northern Railroad for 20 years. Ron was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Nebraska City. He enjoyed bird watching, flowers and gardening. Most of all he loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife: Karen Palmer; brother: Jim (Marilyn) Palmer; children: Mike (Cari) Sellers, Ken (Roseanne) Scurto, Annette (Rick) Block, Keith (Gail) Scurto, Jim (Jen) Scurto, Loretta (George) Teixeira; also many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Bill, infant son, late wife: Joyce Palmer, also many aunts and uncles.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, June 27 th at 11 A.M. at the Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Chapel in Syracuse. Family will greet friends from 10-11 A.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
