Ruby M. Copenhaver was born on December 10, 1917 to Eddie H. & Alma D. (Windels) Steinhoff in Syracuse, Nebraska. She passed away on July 1, 2012 at the Syracuse Good Samaritan Center at the age of 94 years, 6 months, and 21 days.

Ruby married J. Burton Copenhaver on December 10, 1937 in Syracuse, NE and they had 4 children Marlene, Daren, Janet and David. Ruby was a member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, Women's Group and Quilting Group and the East Side Project Club. She was a 4-H Leader and a member of many card clubs.

Ruby is survived by her Daughters-Marlene (Charles) Ruhga of Omaha, NE, Karen F. Minks of Lincoln, NE, Janet (Tom) Shamburg of Lincoln, NE. Grandchildren-Sharri (Kevin) Logsdon, Vicki (Doug) Westerhaus, Mark (Katie) Ruhga, Michael (Gina) Minks, Scott (Candice) Minks, Becky (Troy) Humphreys, Jill (Jim) Steinke, Step-Grandchildren- Jennifer (Dwayne) White, Angela (Jesse) Waller, Jeffrey Shamburg, 11 Great-grandchildren, 7 Step-Great-Grandchildren, 2 Step- Great-Great Grandchildren, Sister Dolores Bruns of Lincoln, NE, Many nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Husband J. Burton Copenhaver, Infant son, David Burton Copenhaver, Son-in-law, Gene H. Minks, Parents, Eddie and Alma Steinhoff, Parents-in-law, Henry & Mary (Wolfe) Copenhaver, Infant sister, Ruth Steinhoff, Sister, Aldean Antes, Sisters-in-law Frances Jamison, Rosamund Copenhaver, Brothers-in-law William H. Copenhaver, Howard Copenhaver, Verne Jamison, Norman Antes

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday July 5, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at the Luther Memorial Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul Coen officiating.

Burial will be at the Park Hill Cemetery in Syracuse, NE.

Visitation will be Thursday July 5, 2012 from 9 A.M. until the start of the service at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church.

In Lieu of Flowers memorials are suggested to Luther Memorial Lutheran Church
