Ruby Roos was born on January 15, 1913 to Gerd and Nora (Beckfield) Stillhan. She passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2009 at the Good Samaritan Center in Syracuse, Nebraska at the age of 96 years, 10 months and 16 days.

Ruby was united in marriage on September 25, 1935 to Leslie Roos in Rural Syracuse, Nebraska. To this union were born three children, Allen, Dean and Janis. Ruby was a member of Christ Lutheran Church (Delaware) in Rural Syracuse where she sang in the choir and was active with the Ladies Aide. Ruby taught for several years at the School for the Blind in Nebraska City.

She is survived by her sons, Allen Roos of Lincoln, NE and Dean Roos of Loop City, NE; 2 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, sister, Irene Reimer of Syracuse, NE, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Les in 2006, daughter Janis Siepelmeier, brothers, Elmer and Archie Stillhan.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 4, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Christ Lutheran Church (Delaware) in Rural Syracuse, Nebraska with Rev. Gllatha Rathjen officiating.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 3rd from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

Interment will be in the Christ Lutheran Cemetery.
