Russell E. Ziemann was born on April 19, 1941 in Fairbury, NE to Arnold & Elnora (Siebe) Ziemann. He passed away on April 9, 2012 at his home in Unadilla, NE at the age of 70 years, 11 months and 21 days.

Russell married Trixy Lewis on April 3, 1966 at the Unadilla Methodist Church. To this union they had 2 sons Darin & Shane. Russell served in the Navy during Vietnam. He then worked as an electrician for 40 years.

Russell was very active in the Unadilla Community belonging to the Men Community Fellowship, Volunteer Fire Department and the Town Board. He was also a member of the VFW and worked with the Underage Drugs & Alcohol Program. In his free time he enjoyed Bowling, Woodworking, Ceramics and watching Baseball.

He is survived by his Wife Trixy Ziemann, Sons: Darin Ziemann & wife Michele, Shane Ziemann and wife Stacy, Brothers: Randy, Rodney, Ronald also many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Arnold & Elnora Ziemann and Nephew Chad Ziemann.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday April 14, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the United Methodist Church in Unadilla, NE. Visitation will be Friday April 13 from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at the Unadilla Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society or Unadilla United Methodist Church.
