Sally S. Kuenning was born July 23, 1946 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Kenneth and Dorothy (Symon) West. She died Friday, June 17, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 69 years, 10 months, and 25 days.

Sally married Wayne Kuenning in Elmwood, Nebraska on October 6, 1972. She loved being with friends. Sally enjoyed bragging on her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. She adopted several rescue dogs. Many people assisted the family in supporting Sally, especially Sylvia Ortlieb, Velvet Gakemeier, Brenda Behrends, and Duane and Sue Blair.

She is survived by her Son: Todd (Cheryl) Kuenning, Daughter: Wendy (Randy) Werner; Grandchildren: Kelsey and Dustin Buss, Austin Kuenning, Madeline Werner, and Nolan Werner; Great Grandchildren: Tinley and Zaidee Buss; Brother: Robert (Nancy) West; Brothers-in-law & Sisters-in-law: Richard (Karen) Kuenning, Kenneth (Ruth) Hartman; also many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Dorothy West, and husband Wayne Kuenning.


Graveside memorial services will be Monday, June 20th at 10:30 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Church Road & 310th Street, Murdock, Nebraska, with lunch at Murdock Fire Department following the service.
