Scott Arthur Putman age 35 years and 4 months died suddenly of a brain aneurysm on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. He was born in Hollywood, California, grew up in Yuba, CA and moved to Plattsmouth in 1995.

Scott had many, many friends, both in California and in Nebraska. He was known for his fun loving ways and his sense of adventure. They lovingly referred to him simply as "Putman". Rarely was Scott seen without as smile on his face. His loyalty and devotion to his family and friends was unwavering. He would always come to your aid no matter the situation. Not only did Scott love being with his own kids, he loved being with his nieces and nephews as well. At family gatherings, it was hard to hear over the children laughing and playing with Uncle Scott. He was always the favorite Uncle.

Scott worked as a Journeyman Plumber for Savage Plumbing upon his arrival in Nebraska in 1995. He was a skilled tradesman with a passion for his craft. Scott was also a valuable asset to the company as a Heavy Equipment Operator on large commercial projects. Known for having the ability to fill many shoes on the job, he quickly gained the respect and admiration of his co-workers and his employers. During his youth and throughout his life he also worked for the family business, Putman Auctioneers as a Forklift Driver and as a Customer Service Representative. He also served in the U.S. Army for two years and worked in Explosives. Scott was considered a top quality Soldier.

Scott had a rambunctious soul. He enjoyed riding ATV's with the guys, Camping with friends and family, going to the Shooting range, watching 49er football, snow skiing in Northern California, Water Skiing, Hiking, Fishing, and playing Video Games with his pals. Most importantly, Scott enjoyed spending time with his children, Aliah, Noah and Chase.

He is survived by his loving family, Father & Mother, John & Kathleen Putman of Yuba City, CA, Brother, Kevin Putman and wife Rebecca of Yuba City, CA; Sister, Geniella Putman of Yuba City, CA, Sister, Kayla Putman of Yuba City, Daughter, Aliah Putman of Council Bluffs, IA; Twin Sons, Noah and Chase Putman of Plattsmouth, NE; Grandmother, Florence Gerving of Brownville, CA, Close friends, Mike & Crystle Savage and Family of Plattsmouth, NE; Girlfriend of several years, Sara Dall of Plattsmouth and his entire extended family.

He was preceded in death by his Sister, Christine Putman, Grandfather, Louis Putman, Grandfather, Jack Gerving and Grandmother, Barbara Putman.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 3rd at 11:00 A.M. at the Fusselman-Wymore Funeral Home in Plattsmouth with Rev. Jim Nielsen officiating.

A second Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 6th at 4:00 P.M. at St. John's Episcopal Church 800 D Street in Marysville, CA 95901.
