Scotty Lawton was born on January 24, 1968 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Stephen and Kris (Kinnison) Lawton. He passed away on Friday, July 23, 2010 after a courageous battle with Melanoma Cancer at the age of 42 years, 5 months and 29 days.

Scott grew up in the Palmyra area and graduated from Palmyra High School. He attended Peru State College for two years following high school. He worked as a Molding Tech for Lenco PMC, Inc. for several years. On September 9, 1999 he was united in marriage to Lori K. Abbott in Nebraska City, Nebraska.

He enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling, playing basketball, softball and even enjoyed snow skiing on occasion.

He is survived by his Wife: Lori Lawton of Syracuse, NE; Daughter: Amanda Wilson and husband Ryan of Avoca, NE: 3 Grandchildren: Reba, Raelyn & Riggs Wilson of Avoca, NE; Mother: Kris Lawton and fiancé Gary Christman of Lincoln, NE; Sisters: Lana Fry of Palmyra, NE: Terra Lienau of Palmyra, NE: 3 Nieces, 3 Nephews

he was preceded in death by Father: Stephen Lawton, Grandparents, John & Eileen Lamb, Grandfather, Byron Kinnison Cousin, Chelsie Jensen, Audra Canfield, Daniel Smith.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home Chapel in Syracuse, Nebraska with Rev. Jason Thacker officiating.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 from 9 AM until 9 PM with family greeting friends from 6 – 8 PM at the Funeral Home.

Interment will be in the Rosewood Cemetery in Palmyra, Nebraska
